One of the key elements of MTI’s National Meetings is the education.  MTI hosted 2 top keynotes on how demographics are going to drive economic growth in North America over the next 15+ years, and how to create a culture that rocks for your employees and customers.  In between the keynotes, MTI hosted a panel discussion on how to maximize your audit performance compliance with technical standards in Nadcap, CQI-9, AMEC, ISO 9001, and ASTM, and an open moderated forum on key questions suppliers and heat treaters have always wanted to ask each other.

Both keynotes hit the mark with great optimism about the future on growth and how to maximize your people, productivity, and profits in an environment of low labor supply.  The panel discussion and open forum provided for some great insights on new technical specifications coming from the various specification groups, and what heat treaters and suppliers can expect from one another in the purchase and sales process.

After the education sessions, MTI hosted three social events with an opening and closing night reception and dinner, and a fundraiser for the MTI Educational Foundation.  The event raised almost $9,000 for the Foundation, which has already approved $50,500 in scholarship funds to be distributed in 2019.  Details of the scholarships can be found at www.MTIEducationalFoundation.com.

The true power of MTI meetings are in the ideas that people take away to improve their heat treat operations and overall performance.  In post event surveys of those attending, over 90% of attendees stated they came away with one or more new ideas to take back to their plant.

MTI is already in the planning process for their Fall Meeting in Vancouver, Canada.  MTI expects another sellout, so don’t delay in booking your hotel room.  To see details as they develop, CLICK HERE.
