Posted By: Tom Morrison Community,

The Metal Treating Institute is excited to report that the Jobs of Tomorrow Workforce Development docuseries being produced for release in Fall of 2024, is beginning to take shape.

The project is currently in the script writing phase. MTI’s Heat Treat 4.0 Task Force has been working with Workerbee TV over the last several weeks, creating story lines and scripts based around interviews that were filmed from 18 Members during the Fall Meeting in Tucson in October. The interviews will be used to tell the story around:

-       What is heat treating

-       Heat treating’s impact on daily life

-       How technology is impacting heat treating

-       The amazing heat treat careers and jobs for the next generation of workers

Once the script writing phase is completed in December, film production will begin early in 2024.

Heat Treat 4.0 Task Force Chair, Ben Gasbarre from Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems stated, “The creation of the Jobs of Tomorrow docuseries will be a game changer to engage the next generation of workers for heat treat plants and suppliers. Not only will it help attract the next wave of employees, it will also help current workers feel a purpose in what they do every day.”

For any Members funding $2,500 towards the Jobs of Tomorrow project, they will receive a special 4 minute version of the docuseries with their branding to market their company in their local market. This is an amazing and valuable investment.

MTI President, Ryan Fussell stated, “It is exciting to see the leadership step in and take progressive action on an issue every company in the industry faces. There isn’t an industry that isn’t facing the worker shortage. It is great to see MTI developing the tools and resources for heat treaters to reach out in their local communities, as well as streaming channels like Tubi TV and Amazon Prime, to say…We are part of an exciting industry and we have a place for you.”
