MTI Launches HeatTreatCareers.com
Without a doubt, the number one pain point of any business in any industry is lack of qualified people to work. Every industry is competing to grab the attention of anyone looking for a job. The challenge is that the labor participation rate is at a level not seen since 1975, at 61.5%. With the unemployment rate among those over 16 years age and actively engaged in the workforce being at 5%, it is important the heat treat industry has digital tools to share the story of “why choose a career in the heat treating industry.”

The Metal Treating Institute is excited to announce it has launched an industry recruitment website, HeatTreatCareers.com that shares:

- Company search by state of MTI Members to contact for open positions
At the recent MTI Fall Meeting, Casey O’Neil from Roman Manufacturing and Co-Chair of MTI’s Next GEN Task Force stated, “The goal of the new website is to provide every Member an effective digital tool to help tell the story of heat treating to attract the potential employee. We hope every Member takes the step to link the new website on their company website.”
MTI’s Next GEN Task Force, Casey O’Neil and Andy Tobin from Thermal Modification Technologies worked throughout 2021 to make sure the new digital tool had the right messaging to attract the next generation of employees.
MTI would like to encourage every Member to place a link on their website under the header of “Looking for a Career that Impacts Everyone?” Tomorrow’s workers want to know that what they do every day has a purpose and makes a difference. Heat Treating has both, and HeatTreatCareers.com shares that story.
