Spring Meeting Letter From Pete Hushek

Posted By: Tom Morrison Community,

Dear MTI Members,

The most powerful resource we have as members, is our connection to one another.  We are truly stronger together than separate.  Social media has helped bring us together on a real-time basis, but there is nothing more powerful than the perspective you gain during MTI’s National Meetings.

It’s the face-to-face interaction that refuels, revitalizes, and reenergizes your creative ideas and optimism for the future.

I am excited to invite you to MTI’s 2018 Spring Meeting being held in conjunction with the Industrial Heating Equipment Association.  The meeting takes place April 23-25 at the Talking Stick Casino Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Scottsdale has much to offer attendees including the amazing view of the scenic southwest mountain ranges. You don’t want to miss it.

At the meeting, you will learn:

  • What manufacturing growth will look like in the next 3 to 5 years…BOOM or BUST?
  • Creating a culture of safety in your overall plant
  • The keys to making sure safety is actionable in your plant
  • The elements you don’t think about in safety that will cost you profits
  • Emerging technologies it will take to remain competitive
  • How artificial intelligence, robotics, sensors, and automation are changing operations
  • Why you need to move into the digital world of the Internet of Things
  • The keys to making your website a selling machine
  • Top elements you need to have on your online presence to engage customers
  • Actions your website can perform that you may have never thought about
  • The keys to increasing low morale in your workplace
  • Steps you can take to turn low performers into high performers
  • The keys to business succession planning to maximize transfer and minimize taxes

MTI is also excited to announce that the MTI Educational Foundation will be hosting another fun and exciting fundraising event at the Spring Meeting, that will help the Foundation raise funds for scholarships and future programs.  The event will take place at the Top Golf experience, where members will compete in teams, enjoy an exciting environment, and raise money for the future of our industry.
